Hey y’all, my name’s David Escamilla, but my friends call me Little Dave!

I’ve been fishing Lake Texoma since I was old enough to hang on to a rod, but my professional career started at just 14 years old. I was casting a net off the bank to catch some bait for me and my Dad, when I noticed a local guide started watching me. It only took a few throws before he pulled up, and asked me “How’d you learn to throw a net like that?” I told him I don’t really know - fishing is in my blood I guess! A short conversation later and I was offered my first job. I couldn’t believe I could do what I love, AND make a few bucks to do it! I learned the ropes as deck hand for 2 years, and by the age of 16 I was guiding my own boat.

Since then, I’ve spent over 25 years guiding professionally on both the Texas and Oklahoma sides of Lake Texoma. I’ve learned and worked with some of the best in the business, building a deep understanding of the lake, the fish, and the patterns that come with each season. But most importantly, I’ve discovered a day on the water isn’t just about putting limits in the boat, but the laughs and memories we make along the way.

Now, with Little Dave’s Guide Service, I bring that lifetime of experience directly to you! I know how stripers behave when the seasons shift, when the weather turns, and when the water changes. Whether we’re throwing artificial lures or dropping down with live bait, I’m confident in adapting to whatever the fish are doing, and getting you hooked!
