What to Expect + Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers (and striper)!
At Little Dave’s Guide Service, we want your fishing trip on Lake Texoma to be as smooth as a reel-in and as fun as a boat full of fish stories. Here's what you need to know before we hit the water:

Where Do We Meet for the Trip?

We begin and end each trip at Grandpappy Point Resort and Marina, Boathouse 1 – It’s easy to find, right on the water, and it’s where Little Dave will clean your catch once we’re back on dry land. Click here for the boathouse and parking map.

What Should I Bring?

🎣 Fishing License
If you're between 16 and 65, you'll need a valid fishing license. We recommend the special Lake Texoma Fishing License—it covers you whether you're on the Oklahoma or Texas side of the lake.

All guests ages 16 and older are required to have a valid fishing license before the trip. It is the responsibility of each individual angler to obtain the appropriate license and ensure they are fishing legally.

Little Dave’s Guide Service is not responsible for any guest who arrives without a valid license.

🧊 Ice Chest
You’re going to catch fish—lots of ‘em. Bring a cooler so you can take your fillets home fresh.

🌧 Rain Gear
Oklahoma weather is moody. It might be sunshine one minute and a surprise shower the next. Toss in some rain gear—just in case Mother Nature’s feeling dramatic.
